WATERFORD’s Paul Beecher and Kerry’s Maura Counihan dominated the second round of the Connolly’s Red Mills Munster Grand Prix league at Kingdom County show in Tralee last Sunday.

The pair filled all of the top five places, with Tallow-born Beecher taking the winner’s prize with Danqu from 20 starters. The eight-year-old gelding by Ustoniv, owned by Seryna Van Kuelen, posted the winning time of 31.38 seconds in a seven-horse jump-off. Jumping on home soil, Maura Counihan finished as runner-up with Coral Du Carel, just over a second behind.
