GOFFS has extended the Land Rover Sale to three days, with Part 1 (originally Day 1) taking place on Tuesday, June 7th and Wednesday, June 8th. Part 2 (originally Day 2) will be held on Thursday, June 9th.

The expansion is in response to the record level of demand for places in the first part of the sale.

Part 1 will be catalogued alphabetically from start to finish, commencing at noon on Tuesday with a catalogue of 150 lots, continuing on Wednesday from 10am with the remaining 200 lots.

Part 2 will take place as originally scheduled from 10am on Thursday with a catalogue of approximately 250 lots.

All horses offered are eligible for the €100,000 Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown in 2017.

Goffs’ chief executive Henry Beeby said: “Having received a record number of nominations and completed inspections with breeders and potential vendors we have seen unprecedented demand for places for the first part of the Land Rover Sale, with a staggering number of requests for top class three-year-olds.

“The Land Rover was the leading store sale for Grade 1 winners at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival for the second year running, and we look forward to promoting the sale’s remarkable record on the track and what looks set to be a truly outstanding catalogue of stores to ensure the attendance of every major National Hunt buyer across the entire sale.”
