Naas Racecourse and ARKequine announce their collaboration to cater for all dietary requirements in the Grooms’ Canteen at the Grade 1 track.

The initiative was launched during a visit to Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House recently, where Naas and ARKequine provided catering for all the stable staff their that morning.

The new menu acknowledges the diversity of stable staff and promotes inclusion in its most practical sense.

ARKequine is a Newbridge-based equine nutrition business that began subsidising the Grooms’ Canteen at Naas last year and has a multi-race sponsorship deal for 2023 with the Kildare venue.

Professional caterers, Lily & Wild, will help the organisations meet the dietary requirements of staff be they related to religion, culture, health or lifestyle choice. These include halal, vegetarian and coeliac options that are not readily available to stable staff.

The inclusive menu will be on offer at the Grade 1 Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle meeting next week on January 8th and stable staff will be able to choose their food from an online menu.

Camilla Sharples, Gordon Elliott’s travelling head lass commented: “It is brilliant that ARKequine has recognised the diversity of stable staff within the industry. Stable staff are the backbone of racing and I have no doubt this new initiative provided in the canteen at Naas Racecourse will be much appreciated by us all. Thank you to ARKequine for thinking of us.”
