Double for Poet's Voice; winners for Dream Ahead, Lilbourne Lad and Roderic O'Connor
SUNDAY
Ballylinch Stud's sprint star Dream Ahead (by Diktat) struck again when the Andre Fabre-trained Nordic Dream made a winning debut over six furlongs at Maisons-Laffitte. The colt was bred by Ammerland Verwaltung Gmbh & Co Kg, he is out of Nyramba (by Night Shift) and he is a half-brother to the US Grade 3 scorer Nordic Truce (by Yes It's True). His dam is a pattern-placed stakes winning half-sister to the 10 furlong listed scorer Cape Amber (by Cape Cross), his third dam is the Group 1 July Cup runner-up Gayane (by Nureyev), and he comes from the family of the triple classic heroine Oh So Sharp (by Kris).-----
SATURDAY
Midnight Malibu made it fourth time lucky when taking the five furlong maiden at Nottingham. The daughter of Poet's Voice (by Dubawi) was bred by the partnership of Kabansk Ltd & Rathbarry Stud, she is trained by Tim Easterby and she is the first foal out of the pattern-placed Midnight Martini (by Night Shift). She comes from the family of the Group 1 winning sprinter Prohibit (by Oasis Dream).-----
FRIDAY
The Roger Varian-trained chesnut Haalick made a winning debut over seven furlongs at Haydock, making him the latest winner for the classic-winning Ballyhane Stud stallion Roderic O'Connor (by Galileo). He was bred by Storway Ltd, he is out of the listed scorer Lucky Pipit (by Key Of Luck) and his grandam is the 10 furlong blacktype scorer Meadow Pipit (by Meadowlake).-----
THURSDAY
The Mark Johnston-trained Whitman opened his winning account over six furlongs at Newbury, becoming the latest winner for Dalham Hall Stud stallion Poet's Voice. He is out of the classic-placed pattern scorer Sundrop, he was bred by Darley, he comes from the family of the multiple Group 1 stars Salsabil (by Sadler's Wells) and Northern Spur (by Sadler's Wells) and of the classic-placed Group 1 scorer and notable sire Marju (by Last Tycoon).-----
WEDNESDAY
Rathbarry Stud's Lilbourne Lad (by Acclamation) was represented by Mecca's Missue, the Michael Dods-trained filly who won over six furlongs at Thirsk. She was bred by the partnership of Kabansk Ltd & Rathbarry Stud, she is the fourth foal and fourth winner out of Silk Dress (by Gulch) and her pattern-placed dam comes from the family of juvenile champion Bakharoff (by The Minstrel) and the Group 2 winning miler Emperor Jones (by Danzig).
