The Richard Hannon-trained filly was bred by Epona Bloodstock Ltd, she is out of Queen Of Stars (by Green Desert), and her dam is a half-sister to the Group 3 scorer and Group 1 Oaks d'Italia runner-up Lady Catherine (by Bering). Grandam Queen Catherine (by Machiavellian) won a listed contest.
  • Lilbourne Lad (by Acclamation) was represented by Spinamiss in the seven furlong maiden at Limerick. Lisa Kelly's homebred filly is trained by Paul Deegan, she is out of Spinamix (by Spinning World), and her five blacktype siblings include the Group 3 winner San Sicharia (by Daggers Drawn) and the listed scorers Same World (by Hawk Wing), Spin Cycle (by Exceed And Excel) and Spinacre (by Verglas).

  • Zoffany (by Dansili) extended his already clear lead in the freshman sires' championship when Waterloo Bridge won the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes over the minimum trip at Ascot. It is a second win from five starts for the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt. He was bred by Lynch Bages Ltd, he is out of the sprint listed scorer Miss Childrey (by Dr Fong) and he is a half-brother to the middle-distance Group 3 scorer Forces Of Darkness (by Lawman).

    The stallion was then represented by Spongy who made it third time lucky when winning over seven furlongs at Leicester. Bred by Pat Turley and trained by Richard Hannon, that colt is one of three winners out of Eminence Gift (by Cadeaux Genereux) and his grandam is the juvenile Group 3 scorer Germane (by Distant Relative).

  • Canford Cliffs (by Tagula) added to his tally when Painted Cliffs scored over six furlongs at Leopardstown on his second start. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt was bred by Lisieux Stud, he is the second foal and second winner out of Lulawin (by Kyllachy), and his dam is a half-sister to the Group 1 winning miler Excellent Art (by Pivotal).
