Parislongchamp Sunday
4.00pm Prix D’Harcourt (Group 2) (4yo+) 1m 2f
ParisLongchamp reopens tomorow with a quality seven-runner renewal of the Prix d’Harcourt featuring four horses already successful at Group 2 level or above plus Haya Zark, who brushed aside the 2021 and 2022 winner of this race, Skalleti, when landing last month’s Group 3 Prix Exbury by three lengths.
It is two other four-year-olds who may end up fighting out the finish with Jean-Claude Rouget’s Prix Guillaume d’Ornano victor and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe fourth Al Hakeem taken to get the better of the Stephane Wattel-trained Simca Mille, winner of the Prix Foy and runner-up in the Grand Prix de Paris.
SELECTION: AL HAKEEM
Next best: Simca Mille
On the undercard Rouget’s unbeaten Padishakh and the improving Zarak colt Rashford will prove tough opponents for the Aidan O’Brien-trained Greenland in the Group 3 €80,000 Prix La Force over a mile and a furlong while the equivalent fillies contest over the same trip, the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux, will see another O’Brien representative, Minding and Tuesday’s full-sister Delightful, square up against a further classy Rouget inmate, Around Midnight, who was a Listed scorer and Group 3 runner-up last term.
