Brides Hill has to concede weight all round but Gavin Cromwell’s six-year-old may just have the class to do just that. A former listed winner over fences, she also finished runner-up in Grade 2 company at Thurles in January. Following a couple of below par runs towards the end of last season, she was right back to her best at Limerick in September.
Optional Mix rates a live threat in receipt of more than a stone. The Eoin Doyle-trained mare was a smart handicapper over hurdles and has already won twice over fences. The additional 5lb that Shane O’Callaghan claims here brings her right into the equation.
SELECTION: BRIDES HILL

Despite the presence of some unexposed rivals from big yards, the unbeaten Kala Conti is hard to get away from. A winner in France in May, the Gordon Elliott-trained filly made a hugely impressive start to her Irish career when winning impressively at Navan last month. It will take a really smart performance to lower her colours.
Batman Girac looks an interesting contender on his debut for trainer Willie Mullins. The gelding won the second of two starts in his native France and connections do particularly well with such recruits.
SELECTION: KALA CONTI

Call The Tune can gain some form of compensation here having looked somewhat unlucky in the Cork Grand National last time. The Barry Connell-trained nine-year-old travelled easily into the race and appeared to have matters in hand when making a bad mistake at the last fence. Losing momentum, he was collared late on. Although raised 4lb subsequently, he gives the impression of being well treated.
Minella Crooner carries plenty of weight over this marathon trip but has the class to make his presence felt. Gordon Elliott’s seven-year-old showed real determination to win a listed chase at Wexford last time.
SELECTION: CALL THE TUNE

Local trainer Thomas Gibney has leading claims here with smart dual-purpose horse Flamborough. The four-year-old preceded an excellent third placed finish in the Naas November Handicap, with an honourable fourth in the Lartigue Hurdle at the Listowel Festival. Easily landing his maiden hurdle last time, the gelding has every chance in this competitive heat.
The Model Kingdom didn’t enjoy the run of the race when runner-up at Down Royal last month. The Noel Meade-trained six-year-old should appreciate this tight track as stamina wouldn’t be her strongest asset.
SELECTION: FLAMBOROUGH
Next Best: The Model Kingdom

Petit Secret can make a winning racecourse debut for Willie Mullins in this finale. Still in front when falling two out on his only point-to-point start, the four-year-old has since joined the champion trainer. Given the strength in depth his stable have in this division, it could well be significant that he makes his first start at such a prestigious meeting.
Bleu De Vassy finished runner-up on his only run between the flags before occupying a similar position on his rules debut at Sligo. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding looks the chief threat.
SELECTION: PETIT SECRET
Next Best: Bleu De Vassy
