HAVING enjoyed an excellent season in Irish Draught performance classes with the same owner’s Ratheoin Jack In A Box, Gwen Scott partnered Declan O’Neill’s Ratheoin Quality Imp (25.3) to an all-the-way victory in the EI100 on his registered debut.

Two other combinations completed on their Penny Sangster-awarded dressage scores to finish second and third, Casey Webb on Knockaleery Legacy (26) and Steven Smith with Tullaher Paudie (26.5) who, like the winner, had competed in the five-year-old young event horse class at the Dublin Horse Show.

Nine starters

By OBOS Quality 004, Ratheoin Quality Imp was bred in Co Wexford by Sean Barron out of the Master Imp mare Coonogues Dawn who comes from the family of Hasty Imp (CCI4*).

There were nine starters in Saturday’s class, all of whom completed with just one having a problem in jumping across the country.
