ONE format change introduced by Eventing Ireland to allow for Covid-19 protocols has gone done particularly well with Elizabeth Power and not just because she recorded an all-the-way success in the EI115 class at Punchestown on Sunday with Emma MacNamara’s Greenfort Gorgeous George.

The Co Meath rider had four mounts in total, two in the Open Intermediate and a second, Jodie O’Keeffe’s Caltra Western Dream, in the EI115 where the Sligo Candy Boy gelding finished fourth of the 26 starters. The Power pair posted very similar times over the fixed fences, the winner picking up 9.6 time penalties while 9.2 were added to the dressage score of Caltra Western Dream.
