Emmet Mullins is set to move into Jim Bolger's Glebe House yard in Coolcullen, Co Kilkenny following the sale of the property.

Bolger placed the world-famous training facility on the market in May with a guide price of €4 million.

The 150-acre property has been home to Bolger and his wife Jackie since 1982. From here Bolger has trained approximately 2,900 winners including 57 at Group 1 level and 13 classics.

Among the best-known horses to have been trained here are New Approach, St Jovite, Teofilo, Dawn Approach and Poetic Flare.

Coolcullen includes 158 stables across multiple yards.

Emmet Mullins (36), a nephew of Willie Mullins, had made a huge impression since taking out a trainer's licence 10 years ago. Based in a yard alongside Willie Mullins, his biggest successes to date include the Aintree Grand National with Noble Yeats and the Irish Grand National with Soldier In Milan.

His clients include J.P. McManus and Paul Byrne, who has been linked with the deal. Mullins married former leading amateur rider Maxine O'Sullivan last month.

On Monday the Irish Independent reported that Glebe House had gone 'sale agreed' but quoted Bolger as saying the deal had 'not been inked yet'

On Tuesday evening the Racing Post reported that Mullins was the purchaser and that the trainer planned to focus more on the flat from 2027 onwards.
