AS usual, there were call-outs for volunteers in advance of last weekend’s Dressage Ireland national championships in Ballindenisk where, sometimes in wind and /or heavy showers, chairman, Mark Ruddock, did two days as call-up steward.

“I decided to lead by example,” said Ruddock who assumed his role as chairman for the prize-giving ceremonies. “I really feel that Dressage Ireland delivered a great championship for our members and, in my position as call-up steward, I was really happy to see ethical riding and happy horses.
