DRESSAGE Ireland judges Michael Moore (List 2A), Jane Whitaker (List 2), Lynne Cassidy (List 3) and Máire Quinlan Pluck (List 5) assessed the 81 tests videoed and submitted to the Irish Pony Club for its Hallowe’en national virtual dressage competition.

“Members could ride more than one test, at more than one level, on more than one pony, with no age restrictions and several did so,” commented the IPC’s head of dressage, Kate Harvey.

“We encouraged those interested in being considered for inclusion in an Irish Pony Club dressage team at the UK Pony Club Home International at the Royal Windsor Horse Show next May to attempt the UK Pony Club Championship tests that were used this year.

“We had eight in the Novice, four in the Intermediate and two in the Open, which is encouraging.”

Lynne Cassidy judged those UK championship tests and her winners were Eimear Ambrose of The Kingdom Branch riding Shirrocco (69.37% in the Novice) and Wexford’s Molly Hennessy Murphy who, with My Late Find, doubled up in the Intermediate (70.64) and Open (65.46). Cassidy also judged the non-championship Novice, where her winner was West Waterford’s Alice Roch Perks on Bornio (69.75).

Roch Perks and Bornio also topped Michael Moore’s scores in the Preliminary BE100 (72%), while his winner of the Preliminary BE90 was Tipperary’s Sarah Kennedy with Savanose Bobby (73).
