LAST Sunday’s South East Region summer championships show not only provided riders with a final opportunity to qualify for next weekend’s Dressage Ireland National Championships but did so at the championships’ venue of Barnadown, Co Wexford.

“We had a huge entry, as one would expect, so we had to lay down four arenas and arrange extra judges,” said regional chair Mary Cox who believes in leading by example as she impressively won the Derval Diamond-judged Preliminary BD19 by a near 10-point margin.
