THE opening September Maiden Hurdle over two miles and two furlongs went to the Gordon Elliott-trained favourite Dancing Meadows (15/8) who was running for the first time since a Perth second in July.

Rathmuck Native cut out much of the running but Bryan Cooper brought the favourite, in the colours of Danny Charlesworth, wearing a first time hood, with a sustained challenge on the run to the second last and she stayed on well for a nine-length victory over Rathmuck Native.
