FOLLOWING the speed and noise of the Pony Club mounted games on the Sunday of the Dublin Horse Show, life slowed down a lot in Ring 1 for the following donkey exhibition.

Members of the Irish Donkey Society (IDS), the Donkey Breed Society of Northern Ireland and staff from the Donkey Sanctuary in Liscarroll paraded 17 exhibits in a visually impressive display, the highlights of which commemorated 1916, the 38 children who died in Dublin during the Rising and the Battle of the Somme.
