1.25 Tote Guarantee On All Irish And UK Races Irish EBF Maiden 6f

This looks below average by maiden standards and St Kitts is probably the most obvious one to take advantage. The No Nay Never colt improved from a debut 10th to finish fourth at Down Royal. That didn’t look like an amazing performance at the time but the maiden has since worked out well. The step back in trip to six furlongs today may also suit.

Alexander John ran very respectably on his debut when eighth of 16 to Espionage and he improved off that effort to finish third to American Sonja when coming down a furlong to today’s trip back at this course. He looks a threat.

SELECTION: ST KITTS

Painters Palette will be the focus for many here, Dermot Weld’s colt having gone close when just touched off by Boher Road over a mile at this track earlier in the month, however the horse in third there could reverse the form now. That was Chain Of Destiny, an 80/1 shot on the day, who stayed on strongly to take third late on, closing in on the front two. It was just his third start and a huge upgrade from his first two starts so he has the scope to jump forward again now and this further trip should suit him.

Imaginarium has a big chance as well. He finished second on his debut at Leopardstown last week when running into a useful and more experienced type in Rare Middleton. If he can step forward from that effort now, he will be a big threat.

2.35 Barberstown Castle Fillies’ Maiden 7f

A big part of Billy Lee’s title challenge has been down to Paddy Twomey and the Tipperary trainer may be able to provide him with a vital win here. The pair team up with Bua, who was sent off favourite for a Dundalk maiden in which she finished sixth, running very greenly. She ought to come on plenty from that and wears a first-time visor here which could make a difference.

Cyclamen sets a good standard with a rating of 83 but she hasn’t run in 193 days and may just need this effort. Vadiana is worth considering. Tracey Collins’s filly has run well on both of her maiden starts now and was only half a length away from winning at Bellewstown when just held off by Native Queen.

SELECTION: BUA

Next best: Vadiana

3.10 Hatstone Solicitors Waterford Testimonial Stakes (Listed) 6f

Moss Tucker has the form to win this. Ken Condon’s gelding has gradually improved as a sprinter this season and showed the peak of that development earlier in the month when fifth in the Prix de l’Abbaye on Arc day. His run prior to that, when just touched off in a three-way go at Tipperary is good form as well considering the second there, Erosandpysche, filled the same position in the Flying Five. Soft ground and this step up to six furlongs shouldn’t pose a problem.

Gustavus Weston really catches the eye as well. He has been highly tried this season but comes down in class now and more significantly should get his favoured soft ground on a course and distance he has excelled at before. Markaz Panamae is another who could revel in conditions for all that he was a little bit disappointing on his most recent start, having run a big race at Leopardstown coming off a mid season break previously.

SELECTION: MOSS TUCKER

3.45 Comer Group International Loughbrown Stakes (Group 3) 2m

This is a tricky race to assess but the perhaps the most obvious outcome is a deserved win for Emily Dickinson. Aidan O’Brien’s filly has had a tough season and needs to prove she stays this trip, but they are the only negatives because she has Group 1 form and is nicely favoured by the weights. Soft ground will pose no problems.

Baron Samedi is a top-quality stayer on his day but comes here off a 183-day break so that might just do for him. Beamish is another who needs to prove he stays this distance but he is a winner over a mile and six furlongs on soft ground and he is lightly enough raced that he could improve again.

Henry de Bromhead’s Lismore showed her prowess as a stayer when just touched off by Coltrane in the Doncaster Cup but she had a very hard race in ParisLongchamp earlier in the month.

SELECTION: EMILY DICKINSON

This looks like a fine opportunity for Falcon Eight to get his head back in front. A rating of 109 sets a fair standard here and he ran right up to that on his previous run when fifth in the Irish Cesarewitch. Very soft ground is a slight concern, but he should do enough to win.

If Dermot Weld’s horse is below par, Shanroe is the one to take advantage. He has to concede weight to the likely favourite, but he is probably likely to be more at home on this soft ground and this trip. It was also notable that he won a three-runner, tactical affair at Galway earlier in the year.

4.55 TRI Equestrian Handicap 7f

Zephron gets a tentative vote in this competitive handicap. Denis Cullen’s gelding has run with credit on all three of his starts since returning from a mini break, most notably catching the eye when a running-on fourth to Heavenly Power in a six-furlong handicap here earlier in the month. He shaped as if a step up in trip could suit him there and that could prove the difference today, with his mark of 74 only 1lb higher than his win at this course last summer.

Facethepuckout is an obvious contender, coming here in search of a quick hat-trick. But he is essentially 18lbs higher than the rating he won off at Gowran on Tuesday. Perfect Thunder might be a better option. She is lightly raced and finished a close third to a smart performer in Maristella at Fairyhouse on her previous run.

SELECTION: ZEPHRON

Next best: Perfect Thunder

5.30 Play The Tote Exacta On Every Race Handicap 5f

Mymomentintime has a 17lb rise to deal with but he could hardly have been more impressive when winning over this course and distance earlier in the month. That was just his seventh start so he can progress forward again and with similar ground conditions likely, he could be tough to beat.

Stanhope catches the eye after returning to winning ways at Navan but Cnodian is perhaps a better option. Her second to Heavenly Power in a big field here over six furlongs is good form and if she can handles this drop down in trip, she will be a big threat.

SELECTION: MYMOMENTINTIME
