Rightsotom should avail of this easier opportunity having been campaigned at the highest level since his promising hurdling debut at Fairyhouse. The Tom Mullins-trained gelding belied odds of 200/1 when a very respectable sixth in the Triumph Hurdle on just his second run and continued that progression when fourth in Grade 1 company at Aintree last time.

Jourdefete has raced exclusively in graded races since arriving in Ireland but has thus far failed to get competitive. However, it is far too early to write him off, especially given his connections.

Pink In The Park can shed her maiden tag at the fifth attempt with the forecast good ground very much in her favour. A dual bumper winner, who was listed placed in that discipline, the six-year-old has been placed in three of her four starts over flights. However, it was on her latest outing when encountering better conditions that she really stepped up, when finishing third in a Fairyhouse Grade 1 event.

Dame Rapide, who was a revelation on the flat last summer, has continued that improvement since switching her attention to hurdles. Having finished fourth on her debut at Fairyhouse last month, the daughter of Footstepsinthesand ran a big race in listed company at the Punchestown Festival subsequently.

Troubled Times looks a progressive mare who can rise further in the ratings this season. The Sam Curling-trained seven-year-old showed ability on her first three starts over flights but then stepped up a level when landing a competitive listed mares’ bumper at Gowran in September. The Shirocco mare returned to jumping when easily winning her maiden hurdle at Naas in March.

Neveradullmoment is of definite interest in first-time cheekpieces. The six-year-old has picked up valuable experience in handicap company of late, sticking to his task despite hitting a flat spot in races. If the headgear has the desired effect, then he will be a serious threat.

Banks Boy had caught the eye on a couple of occasions before winning his maiden hurdle last time. Although the handicapper saw fit to raise the gelding 2lb for that success, the penalty is offset by his promising young claimer. He is a strong traveller who likes to be delivered from off the pace, and the long straight here should play to his strengths. Miss Tempo has now won her last two starts since returning off a long break, the latest coming at Tipperary on Thursday. She would have to shoulder a 7lb penalty if she is declared to run again quickly but will be a significant threat if so.

Lisnagar Fortune is worth another chance here despite suffering an odds-on defeat on his hurdling debut. A bumper winner at the 2022 Punchestown Festival, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding had to settle for runner-up spot on his initial run over flights at Tramore in January. However, a bad mistake at the second last all but ended his chance on that occasion so better can be expected now.

Point-to-point winner Present Soldier made a very encouraging rules debut when fourth at Naas in January but failed to back that up subsequently. Perhaps a first-time tongue tie might see the son of Presenting in a better light.

Well Loved catches the eye as a lightly-raced, unexposed young mare capable of better now she steps up in trip. The Liz Doyle-trained six-year-old was in the process of running a big race on her handicap debut when falling at the final flight at Naas in March. A staying-on third at Tramore last time, she gave the impression that a proper test of stamina would bring about further improvement.

Holiday In Kerry has been largely consistent in recent months, shaping as though he is capable of adding to his sole win to date. That success at Limerick last March came off a mark of 84 but having been raised 9lb, the handicapper has been slow to drop him.

Familiar Dreams sets a clear standard in this finale having finished second in a listed bumper on her last run. The form of that race received a timely boost earlier this week when the third horse easily won at Down Royal. It is surely significant that Jamie Codd, who rode the winner of the aforementioned listed contest, now takes the mount on the Anthony McCann -rained filly.

Young Lucy has to be considered given her experience and fair level of form both in bumpers and over hurdles. The Tony Martin-trained filly finished fifth at Limerick last month and Derek O’Connor now takes over from a 7lb claimer.
