ACAPELLA Bourgeois and A Genie In Abottle are two of the key names to feature among 33 confirmations for Sunday's Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase at Navan.

Gordon Elliott was responsible for six of the seven winners at this meeting last year, with the Bryan Cooper-ridden Empire Of Dirt landing the €100,000 feature to add to Elliott's previous wins with Balbriggan (2014) and Riverside City (2015).

Kerry National winner Potters Point heads eight contenders for Elliott at this stage, with Irish Grand National fifth General Principle and Mala Beach other notable possibles.

Elliott said: "We'll have plenty of runners in it, maybe six or seven, but I suppose General Principle might be one of my main ones.

"Mala Beach is another for it. We've got loads of horses so we're very lucky."

Noel Meade trains current top-weight A Genie In Abottle and the six-year-old, who has already won twice this year, could be joined by stable companions Bonny Kate, who was third last year, and Wounded Warrior.

Acapella Bourgeois, an impressive winner of the Grade Two Ten Up Novice Chase at the track last term, heads Willie Mullins' five remaining entries.

Logical Song went up 12lb for his win in the Cork Grand National and could run for Mag Mullins, while Alan Fleming has Hurricane Darwin in the mix.

The Listed Coolmore N.H. Sires Irish EBF Mares Flat Race has an initial entry of 16 horses headed by Moonlight Escape, while the Proudstown Handicap Hurdle boasts an entry of 18, topped by Elliott's Glenloe and the Paul Nolan-trained Mon Lino.

Peter Killeen, manager of Navan, said: "Our flagship day is living up to our expectations with the feature Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase being strongly supported yet again by the top trainers with top quality horses.

"We have been promised a dry day for Sunday and we are looking forward to a big crowd and a spectacular day's racing."
