CHRISTOPHER Farrell has joined the Tattersalls Ireland team in the new role of flat sales executive.

He will focus on attracting new and existing vendors and buyers to sales at Fairyhouse, with emphasis on improving the quality of offering at the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale, September Yearling Sale and November Flat Breeding Stock Sale.

From Co Laois, Farrell graduated from University College Dublin in 2015 with a BAgrSc in Equine Science which included a placement with Dr Harry Sweeney of Paca Paca Farm in Japan.

After his six-month placement in Japan and completing his degree, he began working for Equilume as a sales and marketing executive which enabled him to travel to Kentucky, California, and Australia. After graduating from the Godolphin Flying Start programme in 2018, Farrell took up the role as bloodstock consultant at Magic Millions in Australia where he spent the past three years co-ordinating catalogues and took to the rostrum as an auctioneer.

Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins said: “Christopher has proven success in sourcing top quality sales horses for Magic Millions and a strong background in customer relations which will only enhance the Tattersalls Ireland service to our loyal vendors.”
