ON the back of a phenomenal sale last month, connections at Cavan will be hoping that next Wednesday’s mixed two-day sale of performance horses, Irish Draught stock and sport horse youngstock will reap similar rewards.

With the former sector filling the bulk of the action, a total of 239 lots will sell on both all of the first day’s trading and the first half of the second.
