THERE was some outstanding fare at Sunday’s Co Westmeath Foxhounds meeting at Castletown-Geoghegan and, on an afternoon beset by some very heavy showers, the Rob James-trained and ridden filly Secret She Keeps (3/1 to 4/1) created a most favourable impression by beating the geldings on her debut in the four-year-old maiden.

The daughter of Shirocco, the only filly in the 11-runner field, was always quite well positioned as Hecouldbetheone and Tapley vied for supremacy up front. The eventual winner made the decisive move by edging to the front on the outer after the penultimate of the 15 obstacles only to be overtaken by Essential Jaco just before the last.
