AT Lingfield last Saturday, the card featured three listed races, including the Gillies Fillies’ Stakes, rearranged from Doncaster’s abandoned meeting. That one and a quarter-mile contest was won by John Gosden’s Scentasia, who was following up a recent course win in the Fleur de Lys Stakes.

Gosden and Frankie Dettori doubled up in the one and a quarter-mile Churchill Stakes despite the withdrawal of hot favourite Lord North, with second string Crossed Baton getting back to winning ways after a disappointing turf campaign.
