RYAN Moore may have dominated the headlines but William Buick was only one behind him at Newmarket, completing a 327/1 four-timer on Elidor, Captain Colby, Antiquarium and Double Up.

Captain Colby (7/1) is a strapping horse and made all in the valuable Junction 17 Cars Sprint Trophy to beat Steve Prescott and Field Game by a length and a half and a head, cracking the six-furlong course record in the process. Buick clearly thought five furlongs might see Captain Colby competing at a higher level but for the time being bloodstock agent Stephen Hillen, who owns him, and Kevin Ryan will probably concentrate on the big six-furlong handicap at York on June 13th.
