TWENTY-FIVE sires will be represented at the upcoming foal sales in Goffs and Tattersalls by members of their first crop, with 524 of them due to go under the hammer. The representatives of any sire’s first crop are always eagerly anticipated and this year should be no different.

First crop sires at Goffs are responsible for 19% of all the foals on offer, while the percentage at Tattersalls is a bit higher at 23%. The top five first-crop stallions by numbers catalogued are responsible for more than half of all the first crop foals in the two sales.
