ZAMBEZI Sun beat the Group 1 winner Eagle Mountain when he landed the biggest prize of his racing career, the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris. It is arguable that he was just as impressive when he captured another mile and a half context, the Group 2 Prix Foy, as that day he defeated a pair of Group 1 winners in Schiaparelli and Light Green.

Originally at stud in France, Zambezi Sun moved to David Stack’s Coolagown Stud in 2017 and his first Irish crop are now yearlings. He is a son of the champion miler Dansili (Danehill), an exceptionally well-bred and successful stallion whose other sons include Harbinger, Zoffany, Rail Link, Passage Of Time, Delegator, Bated Breath and Famous Name.
