THE latest blacktype winner for the deceased Jeremy (Danehill Dancer) is Santa Rossa, successful in the Grade 2 Coolmore EBF Mare INH Flat Race at Leopardstown and now unbeaten in two starts for her owner/breeder Tilly Conway.

Mrs Conway and her husband PJ bought the John Oxx-trained winner Handora (Hernando) as a five-year-old from Lady O’Reilly, the same year that the mare foaled a colt by Barathea (Sadler’s Wells). The colt was named Follow On and he eventually tasted success a couple of times over hurdles. The Conways bred a couple of other hurdle winners from the mare, namely Carlos (Danehill Dancer) and Don Franco (Oratorio), the latter a winner over fences also. The pair were trained by Jim Dreaper.
