THE Carlow Farmers staged their first autumn point-to-point at Borris House last Sunday when, for the second week running, there were nine races at an Eastern region fixture.

Apart from a slight delay to the first, the meeting was run off smartly and while the yielding going proved a bit tiring, there was much praise for the ground provided by clerk of the course Noel Doran and his assistants Aidan Fitzgerald and Ger Mullins.
