Event riders will tackle the cross-country course developed with the help of well known rider and eventing consultant, Gary Parsonage.

Show jumpers joining in this fast action-paced competition include speed specialist Harriet Nuttall, local rider Keith Shore, second in last year’s Equerry Grand Prix and the hugely popular and fun-loving Jay Halim.

EVENTING GRAND PRIX

Starting in the International Arena as the feature class on the evening of Thursday, June 14, the Eventing Grand Prix will see Eventers and Show Jumpers pair up, to then compete against the clock, racing over approximately 30 jumps and cross-country style obstacles. Each pair will take on a combination of fences, including a brand new set of cross- country fences incorporating the Bolesworth International arena’s iconic moat.

The Cazenove Capital prize will go to the pair with the fastest combined time and the least faults. Each knocked down fence will incur seconds added on to the rider’s time, with the lucky winners each taking home a £1,000 first prize.

The five-day event takes place from June 12th to 17th in the glorious grounds of Bolesworth Castle near Tattenhall, Chester, and is set to provide a feast of sport and entertainment with some fantastic dressage stars heading to the stunning venue.
