The Tattersalls Ireland May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale takes place on Thursday May 28th, and the sale will feature a five strong draft from leading owners Robcour.
Included among the five is Golden Joy, a 130-rated chaser who finished second in a valuable listed handicap chase at the Dublin Racing Festival on his penultimate start.
He is a dual winner having won a beginners chase last year, and won as a four-year-old in France earlier in his career. He has an official rating of 123 over hurdles, and remains lightly raced over smaller obstacles. He has the profile of a horse who could develop into a smart dual purpose performer.
Also for sale is Look To The West, an eight-year-old mare who has winning form over fences, and possesses Grade 1 form having finished fifth in the Honeysuckle Mares’ Novice Hurdle two years ago. She has Grade 3 placing after finishing third in the Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle. She has an official rating of 135 over fences and 132 over hurdles, and new connections will have plenty of options with her going forward.
Shannon Royale is a 135-rated chaser that has four career wins to his name, and was last seen finishing a creditable fifth in the La Touche Cup at Punchestown.
Kamikaz Du Plessis is a two-time winner over hurdles with an official rating of 128 over hurdles and 120 over fences.
The Robcour draft is completed by Relieved Of Duties, who won his beginners chase last October, and the seven-year-old has form that makes him competitive in valuable races, having finished mid-division in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham and has placed form at Grade 2 level.
Commenting on the Robcour draft, Robbie Power said: “We are delighted to offer five horses at this month’s May-Point-to-Point and Horses in Training Sale.
“All five have winning form and remain smart dual-purpose performers. Some have lightly raced profiles with the potential for further improvement.
“We were extremely happy with the prices received last year, and French Dynamite is a perfect example that horses within a sale of this type can go on and win valuable prizes."
The 2025 edition of the May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale has produced 28 individual winners of 41 races, headlined by French Dynamite who landed the Munster National last October for trainer Eric McNamara.
