A FILLY by New Bay topped last year’s Goffs November Foal Sale at €650,000 and there are 26 foals by the Ballylinch Stud stallion in this year’s catalogue.
The sale runs from Monday, November 16th to Thursday, November 19th and there are a total of 1,028 foals catalogued, up 25 on last year.
Once again the format will see foals catalogued alphabetically by dam each day across the four sessions. Monday and Thursday offer equal appeal, Tuesday raises the bar and Wednesday features the greatest concentration of blacktype pedigrees.
A total of 218 foals catalogued are out of stakes-producing mares and 148 lots are out of stakes-performing dams.
Goffs CEO Henry Beeby said: “There is no sale like the Goffs November Foal Sale, and this year’s catalogue underlines why. Irish breeders have once again supported Goffs November with an outstanding collection that combines the best of the Irish foal crop with the depth and variety to appeal to every level of the market.
“As the first and largest of Europe’s major foal sales, Goffs November attracts an unrivalled domestic and international audience, creating the atmosphere and competition that makes this sale such an important fixture for breeders and buyers alike.
November Foals continue to deliver, from countless pinhooking success stories to recent Group 1 graduates such as Caballo De Mar, Field Of Gold, Pierre Bonnard, Power Blue and many more. Whether buying to pinhook or to race, buyers will find exceptional opportunity throughout this catalogue.”
The Foal Sale will be followed on Friday and Saturday (November 20th-21st) by the November Breeding Stock Sale, featuring the inaugural Chicquita Session of elite fillies and broodmares on Friday evening.
