IT is something of a mouthful to say, the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis Bayerisches Zuchtrennan, but this Group 1 race at Munich has been won by some top international runners in the past decade, and in the more distant past.
Three years ago it was won by the globetrotting Nations Pride, was his second win at the highest level, and he would go on to add another two, and earn a shade more than £3 million. This year’s winner, Hotazhell (Too Darn Hot), has a way to go to match these achievements, but with a carefully planned campaign he could carry the Silverton Hill Partnership’s colours to valuable successes around the world. Trainer Jessica Harrington has now saddled a Group 1 winner every year since 2018, with one exception.
