BRENT Pope, the former rugby player and now a high-profile media personality, will be the guest speaker at the Irish Equine Veterinary Association’s annual conference at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Co Cavan, from November 23rd to 25th.

First staged in 2021, the IEVA conference provides a platform and opportunity for equine veterinarians, those veterinarians with an interest in equine work, veterinary nurses as well as industry stakeholders to come together over a three-day period.

The over-arching objectives of this year’s conference are to provide veterinarians with the opportunities to consider the latest information on best practices, and give access to national and international experts. The conference hosts a series of forums for the development of expertise as well as access to trade exhibitors and the latest technologies and services.

A wide and far-reaching programme of events has been scheduled, which includes a dedicated students’ day, and a best-case clinical case award. Billed as one of the largest annual equine veterinarian continuous professional development events in Ireland, the conference promises to deliver networking opportunities and well as social engagement.

Tickets will be on sale in the coming days and the programme of presentations and speakers will also be published soon.
