THE 93rd running of the upcoming Limerick Show was launched with great fanfare at the offices of their new sponsor AMCS on the outskirts of Limerick on Monday evening.

Among those attending were new racecourse manager Tom Rudd who has just taken up office. The well attended event heard of the hi tech work show sponsor AMCS is doing in the field of agricultural sustainability. The company was founded by local farmer Jimmy Martin and in a relatively short time have built up a turnover a little short of €200 million. Jimmy originally hails from Clonakenny in Co Tipperary where his family, as well as farming, are closely involved with the Golden Vale Hunt.

Limerick Show will be held on Sunday, August 28th with the generous support of the McManus fund. In addition to all the traditional events, it promises many new innovations and will be opened by EU Commissioner Mareaid McGuinness.
