IT was another good week for the Co Kildare Equestrian Centre Showjumping League with Copper Beech hosting a round last Monday. This new league is gaining momentum with 117 combinations qualified for the final after five rounds. In the 50cms, twins Jasmine and Emily Halford went head-to-head to secure a place on the team for the July final at Coilog. In the end, Jasmine (Fitco) took the honours. Dividing the twin’s placings was Emily Feehan who took second, ahead of Emily and Little Lady. Also qualified as individuals for the final is Keeva Fitzpatrick (Trigger), Emma Jane Sexton (Angel), Rebecca Leonard (Tuffy), Kiera McConnan (Buz), Lucy Gabor-Sweeney (Lassie), Alec Kerrins (Custard) and Niamh Tunney (Buddy).

In the 70cms, Grace Howard (Rocky) led the victory lap, chased by Anisha Heffernan (It’s A Beautiful Day) and Katie Kerrins (Mo) in third. The other individuals qualified include Abbie Walsh and Mia Walsh, both riding Custard, Katie Cannon (Buddy), Sam Farrell (Devine), Louise Halford (Buddy) and Chloe Dunne (Strawberry).Emma Keogh (Sam) took the 90cms ahead of Robyn Kelly (Twwedle) with Alan Donoher (Smartin) third.
