THERE was widespread sadness at the sudden passing last week of Mary McCabe, from Adamstown. Mary spent her early years in Co Meath where her father worked at Woodpark Stud, Dunboyne, before the family later moved to Wexford.

She shared the same love of horses as her parents, Mosie and Queenie, who ran a livery and training yard in Rathsillagh. After graduating from college, Mary worked for Aer Lingus as a cabin crew member which meant she had the ideal opportunity to enjoy another of her interests, travel,, and visited numerous countries and cities.
