KEVIN Coleman runs both Bellewstown and Laytown races, one of just a pair of managers in Ireland responsible for two venues.

It is fair to say that the two courses under Kevin’s control have features that make them quite unique. Laytown is known worldwide for racing on the beach on its single race date each year. Bellewstown too has its singular attractions, based on the Hill of Crockafotha. The earliest known meeting, recorded in The Dublin Gazette, says that racing took place there in 1726 – not today, or yesterday!
