THERE were a wide variety of themed-displays in The Irish Field Musical Ride class, ranging from ‘Flashdance’ (Clonshire Riding Club), ‘Eighties Dance Music’ (Rathfarnham Riding Club) to ‘The Artemis Mission to the Moon’ (Lakelands Riding Club).
However, it was the topically-themed ‘The Fuel Crisis’ display from Earl’s Well Riding Club that caught the eye of judges Máirín Cassidy and Louise O’Brien in a sunny Aloga international sand arena at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, in front of a large number of spectators on the Saturday evening of the festival.
