THE Aga Khan Studs’ draft has provided the sale-topper or joint top lot at the Goffs Autumn Horses in Training Sale every year since Covid and it may well be the same next Monday.

There are nine horses in this year’s Aga Khan consignment, headed by the 107-rated Asakir, a three-year-old gelding by Zarak. A Leopardstown maiden winner early in the season, he arrives off a career-best effort when finishing fourth, beaten just over three lengths, in the Group 2 Prix Chaudenay on Arc weekend.

Almazann, a three-year-old Zarak colt, was the winner of a Curragh maiden on his latest start on October 15th. His maiden form includes finishing runner-up to St Leger second Enceladus.

Also among the draft is Sindagan, a maiden winner at the Galway Festival who subsequently finished third in a competitive handicap at the Irish Champions Festival off 95.

Other eye-catching entries include the Night Of Thunder colt State Of Wyoming, a Roscommon maiden winner earlier this month for Paddy Twomey; the two-time winner Eastwatch who ran a career best when second in the Irish Lincolnshire this season off a mark of 97; and Lars Soldier, a dual winner this year including in a Curragh maiden on his second start in April and most recently at Navan in September.

Jeroboam Machin was a Grade 2 bumper winner at the 2024 Dublin Racing Festival. One of seven lots offered by Emmet Mullins, he returned this year to be competitive in maiden hurdles, finishing runner-up to Mr Hollywood at the Galway Festival. On his latest performance, he finished fourth on chase debut.

Joseph O’Brien is selling Cheltenham Festival winner Lark In The Mornin. The Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle winner is rated 128 over hurdles and 92 on the flat. His latest win came in July, when winning a qualified riders’ flat race under Patrick Mullins.

This week, some 28 additional lots were added to Monday’s catalogue. They include a dozen entries in the new Point-to-Point Sale.

Gavin Cromwell’s recent Punchestown academy hurdle winner, Lunar Stride has been added to this section, along with recent five-year-old point-to-point winners Foreveradiva and Captain’s Song, as well as the Cian Hughes-trained Red Shea, winner of a Sedgefield bumper.

Among the supplementary horses in training entries are Highbury See See, a winner over an extended mile on his most recent start at Leopardstown, and the 2025 Goffs Defender Bumper winner, Wonderful Everyday.

Also added to the catalogue are five unraced three-year-olds, who were previously catalogued in June’s Arkle Sale. They include a Jukebox Jury half-brother to Stellar Story and The Storyteller, and a Walk In The Park gelding closely related to Wicklow Brave.

The Autumn HIT Sale gets underway at 10am on Monday.

Orby yearlings secure Autumn Sale slots
