STALLION AI Services is a DEFRA-approved worldwide quarantine centre and market leaders in stallion semen collection, processing, freezing and distribution. Stallion AI Services has been successfully practising AI for over 19 years. The UK centre, which is in Shropshire, is owned and managed by Tullis Matson.

We recognise the important role Ireland plays in breeding some of the world’s best sport horses and are proud to introduce Stallion AI Services Ireland to Irish equine breeders for the 2019 season. Based in Cork with Teresa O’Sullivan, frozen semen can be stored and distributed within the EU from iconic stallions such as Big Star, Arko III, Ramiro B and Je T’aime Flamenco as well as a selection of Elite Stallions’ European portfolio. Irish breeders will be able to ship semen within Ireland from €90 + VAT.

Stallion AI Services UK are a company who are constantly pushing boundaries using the latest technology and techniques to stay at the forefront of the equine breeding industry. In 2017, we invested in a brand new, state of the art stallion centre and are dedicated to providing stallions with the very best care and facilities.

We recognise that every stallion is an individual and tailor our care accordingly. A happy stallion means happy semen so it is important that we mirror his normal day to day routine as closely as possible, whether this be daily turnout in one of our 8ft high panelled fenced paddocks or grazed in hand.

We work very closely with Spillers to provide the stallions in our care with a diet that supports their stud duties and their forage isnanalysed in order to ensure the best quality. Our feeding regime is optimised according to the latest development in equine nutrition science. Our dedicated nutritionist makes frequent yard visits, and a fully functioning weigh bridge on site enable precise monitoring of each stallion’s optimum body weight and condition.

Our laboratory is one of the most advanced semen processing laboratories in Europe and is equipped with the most up to date equipment for processing, freezing and evaluating equine semen.

Assessment of your stallion’s semen quality in the UK’s leading equine semen laboratory ensures that only the highest quality semen is frozen and stored.

We specialise in freezing semen from sub-fertile stallions and continually push the scientific boundaries surrounding the freezing of equine semen. We invest heavily in carrying out research to maintain our position as number one in our field.
