A NEW record priced top lot of €275,000, which came in the shape of a Kodiac colt who was bought by Shadwell’s Stephen Collins, headed the concluding session of the first part of Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale whose final returns dropped off those from 12 months ago.

A catalogue that was 15% bigger than last year’s produced an aggregate of just under €10.5 million which represented an 8% decline on 2017. The average of €25,467 was down by 11 points while the €19,500 median fell by 15 points.
