MAJOR changes have been made to dates and venues for two of the upcoming young event horse series, the Stepping Stones to Success League and the Young Eventhorse Series which is a conduit for the RDS.

The Stepping Stones league will now commence at Wexford Equestrian on Wednesday, April 6th and not at Millstreet next Tuesday (March 29th), as originally scheduled. On April 6th, horses can also qualify at the Tomhaggard venue for the young event horse classes at Balmoral in May. Those intending to compete in the Irish Horse Welfare Trust Thoroughbred Club Class throughout the series are advised to check the Stepping Stones website for changes to the criteria for participation.

Due to the unavailability of Dollanstown, the organisers of the Young Eventhorse Series and the RDS have announced that the fourth and final qualifiers for the ridden performance classes at the Dublin Horse Show in July will take place at Tullymurry, Co Down.

On Wednesday, June 22nd, the Downpatrick equestrian centre will host the last qualifiers for both the young event horse classes and the small event horse class at the RDS.

Three days later, on Saturday, June 25th, the final qualifiers for the performance Irish Draught and Connemara performance hunter championships will also be staged at Tullymurry.
