KILDYSART gentleman John McGoldrick summed up the zeal the Banner County had for show jumping in its infancy when the then-90-year-old spoke three years ago about how riders hacked to shows and borrowed saddles to compete in open and stone wall jumping classes, watched by spectators who walked or cycled to shows.
