DARYZ put up another scintillating performance to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Sunday at ParisLongchamp.
Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard for the Aga Khan Studs, the four-year-old colt repeated his success of 2025 when coming with his trademark late flourish under Mikael Barzalona to win the €5 million race by a length and a half from Bay City Roller. Diamond Necklace was a further half-length back in third and Friendly Soul was the same margin away in fourth, clear of the rest.
Daryz was sent off the 13/8 favourite and is the ninth horse to win two Arcs. He is the first male horse to win back-to-back runnings of the race since Alleged in 1978.
By Sea The Stars, Daryz is out of the Selkirk mare Daryakana. He is a half-brother to six winners including the Group 1 winner Dariyan (by Shamardal).

Mikael Barazlona told Sky Sports Racing: "Daryz is just an exceptional horse. The race did not go to plan - it was tough. It is always a rough race but the horse proved he was the best."
Francis Graffard said: "He is a champion. I always try to keep my feet on the ground but I was confident in him. I knew he would be hard to beat. He was blossoming.
"There was more pressure this year because he was the favourite. That creates emotions and I am lucky to be in a job that does that.
"In the first 400 metres he kept losing his position which was not the plan. But we were lucky he had a better trip than [stable companion] Varandir who was completely boxed in. After when I saw Mikael was able to pull out Daryz and get a good lead with Diamond Necklace it was perfect.
"This is a champion race and he is a champion. I'm just upset that the people at Ascot did not see the right one."
