NORTHERN trainers are well represented in the St James’s Place Foxhunter Chase at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival, being responsible for five of the 17 Irish entries in the three-mile, two-furlong amateur contest being held on St Patrick’s Day.

Graham McKeever has entered the 10-year-old Presenting gelding Balnaslow and the year-younger Well Chosen gelding Chosen Dream.Both are owned by the ever enthusiastic Peggy Hagan, who was on hand to greet the pair when they last visited the winner’s enclosure following open victories at a sunny Borris House in December (Balnaslow) and at wind-swept Kirkistown last month (Chosen Dream).
