JAMES Lambe’s good strike-rate at Hexham was maintained last Saturday when he sent out the Classic Cliche mare Classic Palace to win on her third start on the track and for both the yard and owner, James Callow.

Trained during her point-to-point career by Colin Bowe, for whom she won a Dungarvan maiden in January, the six-year-old bay had finished third at Cartmel last month having made most of the running. She was ridden there and at Hexham by Brian Hughes who was recording his 18th win of the season on Saturday.
