KILKENNY'S Richie Moloney and the 14-year-old stallion Carrabis Z have taken third place on the podium in the $380,000 Rolex five-star Grand Prix at Tryon, USA in the early hours of Sunday morning, Irish time.

Moloney was one of just three riders who managed to jump clear in the first round of the contest, which was the biggest “Saturday Night Lights” event of the 2017 season at Tryon International Equestrian Center in North Carolina, which is the venue for next year’s much-anticipated World Equestrian Games.
