The Womanizer gelding, who competed at all but one of the FEHL’s seven venues, topped the ridden display scores of Will McAuley (104) while he was second to his stable-companion, and League winner, Lux Aventi (79) when the marks of the suitability and potential judges, Jean Mitchell (flat), David Kirkpatrick (in-hand) and Nicola Manningham Buller (jump), were totted up (76).

Unlike Lux Aventi, who had the planks at two down, The Cool Guy jumped clear to win. The bay, who was bred by John Joe O’Sullivan out of a Master Imp mare, has already had a taste of big show atmosphere having finished fifth behind BLS All Inclusive at Balmoral.
