Over the two days, large queues kept forming at the horse and pony ride ring where, for €2 a go, visitors of all ages, shapes and sizes could sit up and be led around on a variety of mounts who were kindly transported to the venue by riding school proprietors and supporters of the Fingal Harriers.

Unfortunately, there was an extremely poor turn-out of horses for the ridden classes on Saturday. This show, which is easily accessed off the M1, has superb parking facilities, loads of room and a large, level grass arena which would be perfect for those heading to the Dublin Horse Show.
