A STUNNING performance from Cork’s Billy Twomey and the Traditional Irish Sport Horse Ardcolum Duke (ISH)(TIH) saw them win the CSI***** competition today in Antwerp. 28 competitors from across the globe contested the title today and the Irish pair produced one of only 7 clear rounds, galloped home in a time of 60.47 seconds, almost two seconds clear of runner up Wilm Vermeir (BEL).

The Traditional Irish Sport Horse, bred and owned by Joe Flynn from Co Roscommon, has now recorded four wins at five-star level after securing back-to-back victories at the CSI*****-W show in Zurich in February.

Twomey takes home over €8,000 in prize money after this penultimate day of showjumping action in Antwerp.

Five-star showjumping action continues in Antwerp tomorrow with the Lebeau-Corally Grand Prix at 4.35pm GMT.
