SPORT Ireland announced the appointment of Clíona O'Leary as the new Director of Corporate Affairs, Communication and Marketing. Clíona has been involved in the business of sport for more than 25 years and is a respected leader in the field.

Before her appointment, Clíona O'Leary was Deputy Head of TV Sport at RTÉ where she led teams to major sporting events worldwide, including the Olympic Games, World Cups and European Championships. She has a Degree in Media & Communications, an MSc in Sports Management and a Masters in Business Practice. Clíona is also an active member of various sports committees, including Sport Ireland's Coaching Committee and the Olympic Federation's Gender Equality Commission.

"I am delighted to take up the Director of Corporate Affairs, Communication and Marketing position with Sport Ireland," said O'Leary. "The team in Sport Ireland and across the NGBs and local sports partnerships are doing incredible work across participation, performance and high performance. I look forward to working with the Communications and Marketing team to amplify all messages and initiatives to ensure that as many people as possible can engage with and reach their potential in sport."
